His leadership ensures his clientele have the resources they need to thrive in challenging environments.

    Before founding ABC, Erik built a successful career in manufacturing and outsourcing, gaining expertise in global supply chains and operational efficiency. He also established a versatile consultancy spanning aviation, natural resources, claims origination, litigation finance, and manufacturing, showcasing his ability to excel across diverse industries.

    A graduate of Tulane University, Erik combines his education and entrepreneurial insights to solve complex challenges with strategic and creative solutions. Based in South Florida, he remains committed to fostering resilience and growth in the industries and communities he serves.

  • Jim McCabe

    Chairman and Quantitative

    Jim McCabe is the co-founder of American Bridge Capital (ABC). Before establishing ABC, Jim founded Las Olas Capital in 2020, where he served as a strategic leader in sourcing, underwriting, and financing over $1 billion in investment-grade receivables and alternative assets. With executive experience spanning multiple specialty finance companies, Jim brings a wealth of expertise in structuring innovative financing solutions.

    He holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Florida and currently serves as the CEO of the Liberty Settlement Funding platform. At ABC, Jim plays a pivotal role in driving the firm’s strategy and investment operations.

  • Scott Herman

    Executive Vice President, Chief Development Officer

    Scott Herman is a seasoned finance executive with over two decades of experience in specialty lending and business development. At American Bridge Capital, Scott leads the firm's strategic growth initiatives, focusing on expanding its footprint in bridge financing for federally, state, and municipally approved programs and projects.

    Prior to joining American Bridge Capital, Scott served as Chief Development Officer of Justice Funds, a Florida-based litigation finance firm he founded in 2015. Under his leadership, Justice Funds became a prominent capital provider for law firm funding and legal settlements across the United States. Scott's expertise in financial structuring and capital deployment was instrumental in the firm's success.

    Earlier in his career, Scott held senior leadership and development roles at Sheridan Healthcare and Univita Health, where he oversaw national expansions and managed large-scale provider networks. He also founded Oxylife Respiratory, Florida’s largest durable medical equipment respiratory consignment program, and Versa Funding, a litigation finance firm operating in over 25 states.

    Scott serves on the board of The Recovery Agents, LLC and holds advisory roles with law enforcement foundations across Florida. He earned his Bachelor of Arts from Brandeis University and a Masters of Business Management from Harvard University.ption goes here

As the Chief Operating Officer of American Bridge Capital, Jacob oversees the company's day-to-day operations, including accounting, finance, and strategic partnerships. His leadership ensures the seamless execution of the firm's mission to provide bridge financing solutions for contractors and municipalities engaged in federally, state, or municipally approved programs and projects.

    Jacob currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of The Recovery Agents, LLC a finance and real estate firm he previously founded based in Pompano Beach, Florida. Jacob's entrepreneurial spirit and operational acumen have been instrumental in driving growth and efficiency across the organizations he has led.

    Jacob holds various degrees from Clemson University. Outside of his professional endeavors, he enjoys spending quality time with his wife and daughter and is an avid supporter of Clemson University athletics.

    Mario Rodriguez is a licensed Florida Attorney and General Counsel at American Bridge Capital. Mario oversees all transactional and legal matters and has years of experience working in specialty finance. He is also the General Counsel of Liberty Settlement Funding and has overseen thousands of structured settlement transfers. Mario earned a Bachelors in Business Administration from the University of Miami and then went on to get his Juris Doctor from University of Miami as well.
