Erik Norden is the managing partner and co-founder of American Bridge Capital (ABC), where he structures growth and bridge capital solutions for contractors, private nonprofits, and public entities delivering federally, state, and municipally funded infrastructure and recovery projects. His work centers on ensuring clients have the liquidity to pursue large, reimbursement-driven task orders and keep critical projects on schedule.

Before founding American Bridge Capital, Erik built a career in manufacturing and outsourcing, developing deep experience in global supply chains, operational efficiency, and complex project execution. He also led a diversified consultancy spanning aviation, natural resources, litigation finance, and manufacturing, demonstrating an ability to navigate capital-intensive and highly regulated sectors.

Holding a B.A from Tulane University, Erik combines formal education with hands-on entrepreneurial experience to solve complex financing and execution challenges with strategic, practical solutions. Based in South Florida, he remains focused on supporting resilient infrastructure, community recovery, and long-term growth for the clients and communities he serves.

Jim McCabe is the co-founder of American Bridge Capital (ABC). Before establishing ABC, Jim founded Las Olas Capital in 2020, where he served as a strategic leader in sourcing, underwriting, and financing over $1 billion in investment-grade receivables and alternative assets. With executive experience spanning multiple specialty finance companies, Jim brings a wealth of expertise in structuring innovative financing solutions.

He holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Florida and currently serves as the CEO of the Liberty Settlement Funding platform. At ABC, Jim plays a pivotal role in driving the firm’s strategy and investment operations.

Marc Hermes

Marc Hermes is the Chief Operations Officer at American Bridge Capital (ABC) and brings over two decades of financial, operational, and sales leadership. With deep roots in structured settlement funding and a proven track record of building scalable finance platforms.

Before joining American Bridge Capital, Marc served as President of Liberty Settlement Funding, where he oversaw all aspects of operations, finance, and sales. Under his leadership, Liberty became a recognized leader in the structured settlement space, serving thousands of clients nationwide since its founding in 2011. Prior to entering the financial services industry, Marc spent over a decade at Comcast Spotlight (now Effectv), where he ranked in the top 5% of sales professionals across the U.S.

Marc holds a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from the University of Florida. Marc plays a key role in guiding ABC's financial strategy and supporting its mission to deliver rapid, flexible capital solutions for government-backed infrastructure and disaster recovery projects.

Ted Kay is the Head of Business Development at American Bridge Capital (ABC) and specializes in finance. He brings over two decades of senior leadership in business development, operations, and strategic partnerships across finance, disaster recovery, international construction, and the demanding world of music and entertainment.

At ABC, Ted drives outreach, builds high-value partnerships, and expands access to fast, compliant bridge funding for municipalities, private nonprofits, contractors, and subs.

He holds a B.S. from the University of Alabama and received his MBA in International Real Estate Investment from University of Central Florida. Ted is known for his abilities to think outside the box and creatively problem solve.

Mario Rodriguez

General Counsel and Underwriter

Mariano “Mario” Rodriguez is the General Counsel and Underwriter of American Bridge Capital (ABC). Prior to joining ABC, Mario was General Counsel at Liberty Settlement Solutions, where he has served as a key strategic and legal leader since 2013. In that role, Mario oversaw all legal aspects of their specialty finance transactions nationwide. He advised on more than 2,000 structured settlements and receivables transfers while ensuring compliance with complex federal and state regulatory frameworks. His work spans transaction structuring, risk mitigation, contract negotiation, and coordination with insurers, counterparties, and outside counsel across jurisdictions.

He holds a Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law and a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Miami. Mario is a member of The Florida Bar and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida. With over a decade of experience in specialty finance and corporate law, Mario brings a business-minded approach to legal strategy, supporting growth initiatives while safeguarding organizational interests.
